Frog Valley Canines was started and founded by Robert ( Rob ) Smith. Rob realized back in 2010 when he was a police officer for the city of Lyndon Kansas that working with dogs was just one more thing he found joy in doing. He helped train his second k-9 partner ” Black Jack ” which would be his partner for the next 6 years while Rob was in law enforcement. Rob was in the Air National Guard at the 190th in Paulin Kansas in security forces. Rob since then has turned his attention on to training pet dogs and service dogs and is a firm believer that every dog deserves a chance to be the best they can be. Rob received his education at Highland Canine academy in Harmony North Carolina and graduated with his master training certification in June 2017.
With Rob he brings his wife Kim who has been training Cocker Spaniels for conformation in the show ring and also breeding them for over the last 3 decades. With her she brings experience from working as a veterinarian assistance in her late teens and early 20’s.
We are all here to help you with your dog needs and we all want to see that ” light ” come on for your dog as he gets to the end of it’s training and is ready to please his family with his new behaviors.

We use a mix we start with positive. We only use training tools when nothing else works. Then we will go back to positive training.
